Entangled mess

With eyes that couldn’t foresee,
And lips that were sealed,
With our wounds all covered,
We thought we were free.

With the wide smiles,
And the wish to go miles,
With our unquestionable acts,
We thought we were free.

But now I see,
That we’re not free,
From the clutches of those thoughts,
From the punches of those acts,
From the strings that were once attached,
We’re an entangled mess,
You and I.
