You are a sword that only SLAYS!

Hello there!

What’s up, people? How are you all? Things are going great around here. I’m just three days short of going home. (Happy! Happy! Happy!) My internship is coming to an end, and to put it into Taylor’s words (Swiftie, forever and always :-P) “We’re sad that it’s ending, but we’re really glad that it happened.” πŸ˜€

A few days ago, I read a post by Shubhangi Srinivasan, in ‘The Shubhster Diaries’, titled ‘Damsel In Distress? NOT.’ If you haven’t read it, go check it out! It is awesome (You might have guessed that from the title. Duh!). There was one quote there, that caught my fancy, and now, I present before you a poem inspired by the same quote. (If you haven’t figured it out yet, the title itself is theΒ quote. πŸ™‚ )

Girl! Hey!

Why do you look,

So much in dismay?

Like all your shine,

Has been taken away?

Like you see no colors,

But Grey?

Chin up, princess!

Or the crown slips.

No, you didn’t fall,

You just tripped.

There is a long way to go,

So just buckle up!

Life’s coaster goes to and fro,

And sometimes makes you throw up.

But you know it wont last,

Forever and Always,

The shadow that was cast,

Will be driven out by the sunrays.

And then you’ll be shining,

Despite the dark,

But don’t forget the instances,

That left the marks.

Use it as a fuel,

To travel to a higher place,

Just Remember,

You are a sword,

That only slays!

Hope you liked it. πŸ™‚ Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ˜€
