The Summer’s having Mood Swings

The summer’s having mood swings,
It can’t decide to stay or leave,
Its a bummer for the fluttering wings..
Though a sigh of relief they heave..
When the day goes dark..
And There’s pitter patter in the park,
With the darkest clouds,
I’m sure they want to sing out loud..

The summer’s having mood swings,
It can’t decide to stay or leave,
Its a bummer for the studying beings..
For them, there is no relief..
As they turn their pages,
Drops of sweat trickle down their faces..
Still working hard to get what they want,
There is no substitute for it they chant…

The summer’s having mood swings,
It can’t decide to stay or leave,
Its a bummer for the children in swings..
But they heave a sigh of relief..
When there’s an ice cream truck around..
They run merrily, like happiness it sounds..
The happy faces with their cones,
They have no debts to pay from loans..

The summer was having mood swings,
But, I guess it has decided not to leave,
Its a bummer for the people farming..
A sigh of relief they would want to heave..
The broken lands and dried up creeks,
A smell of hopelessness it reeks,
With the debts and drought, they are bound,
Just wishing something could turn things around..
