The puppet & his strings

Here’s a story,
Of a puppet and his strings,
Who dreamt of big dreams,
But thought wasn’t good at things..

These strings,
They pulled him down,
Those things,
Devoid him of the crown..

He walked on,
With that sad demeanor,
It was his sadness,
His brightness it would devour..

And there came another puppet,
With no strings attached,
She moved blowing a trumpet,
Danced all around in her hat..

She saw this fellow puppet,
Who was stuck in strings all tangled,
She danced all around him,
Wondering why he struggled..

Then the voices came, “leave him”,
“He can do nothing but frown.. ”
But she was too curious..
To know what weighed him down..

She asked “What’s your deal, Bud?”
“You look so cast down..”
And there came a smile,
Replacing that big frown..

A smile worth a thousand sunshines,
It lighted up his face,
Then she saw some strings had snapped,
She now understood the case..

She danced around him,
Filled with joy,
She blew her trumpets hard..

The merry dance,
The cheerful glance,
She saw his sorrow break to shards…

And now they danced,
Like there was no tomorrow,
All the strings had snapped,
He came out of his sorrows..

He threw away,
Everything that weighed him down,
With that huge smile,
He lit up every one who was around..

He could only thank her,
For her momentous grace,
Before she had left..
Without a trace…
